Why give?

At One Love Outdoors, we believe in the power of outdoor recreation to transform lives and build a stronger, healthier community. Your support helps us create accessible opportunities for everyone to experience the joy of nature, whether it’s through biking, hiking, running, or other outdoor adventures.

  • At One Love Outdoors, we believe that connecting with nature is more than just a pastime—it’s a pathway to better mental and physical health for everyone. Outdoor activities like cycling, hiking, and running don’t just strengthen our bodies; they also rejuvenate our minds, reduce stress, and improve focus and emotional well-being.

For individuals with unique differences, such as ADHD, the outdoors can be a game-changer. Movement in nature provides:

    • Mental Clarity: Physical activity boosts dopamine levels, which are key for focus and emotional regulation.

    • Sensory Balance: Outdoor environments engage multiple senses, which can help calm overstimulation and promote mindfulness.

    • Emotional Resilience: Being active outdoors fosters self-confidence and reduces symptoms of anxiety or frustration.

    Our Approach

This mission is personal. Alongside our passion for the outdoors, we bring over 17 years of experience in behavioral health and coaching. As a certified family coach specializing in holistic play and a former social-emotional learning (SEL) coach in schools, Emily has witnessed the transformative power of combining movement, nature, and emotional support.

At One Love Outdoors, we design activities and programs to:

    • Create inclusive spaces where all abilities are welcome.

    • Empower participants to explore new challenges at their own pace.

    • Help individuals and families develop tools for emotional regulation through movement and play.

    Why It Matters

We all deserve access to the healing benefits of the outdoors. Whether you’re looking to enhance focus, build resilience, or simply find joy in the rhythm of your own movement, our programs are here to help you thrive—mind, body, and soul.

Join us on this journey to make nature a cornerstone of health and happiness for everyone.

  • We are passionate about inspiring the next generation to embrace the joy of cycling, hiking, and exploring nature. Through our guided programs, we aim to foster a lifelong love for the outdoors while teaching valuable skills, building confidence, and encouraging teamwork.

    Why It Matters:

Outdoor activities promote physical health, mental well-being, and community connection. However, financial constraints often prevent individuals from accessing these transformative experiences. By providing resources, gear, and support, we’re working to bridge the gap and create a community where everyone can feel the benefits of time spent in nature.

  • At One Love Outdoors, we are committed to preserving and enhancing the natural spaces that make outdoor activities possible. Whether it’s maintaining our local trails, advocating for access to outdoor spaces, or educating the next generation on the importance of conservation, we believe that taking care of the outdoors is a responsibility we all share. By actively engaging with the community and supporting trail stewardship, we’re ensuring that future generations can enjoy the same natural spaces that we do today.

    What We Offer:

    Trail Maintenance and Building Days:

      • Community Involvement: Join us for hands-on trail maintenance and building events. We regularly host workdays where community members can help repair, upgrade, or build new trails. Whether it’s clearing debris, improving drainage, or creating new sustainable paths, these events allow volunteers to make a direct impact on the trails they love.

      • Skill Development: Learn from local trail experts and organizations as we guide participants through the technical aspects of trail maintenance, teaching essential skills like erosion control, proper tool use, and sustainable trail building techniques.

    Family Hikes and Clean-Ups:

      • Family-Friendly Opportunities: Engage the whole family in trail stewardship through guided family hikes and clean-up events. These outings are designed to be fun and educational, fostering a love for the outdoors while teaching kids about the importance of environmental responsibility.

      • Community Clean-Up Days: Help keep our trails clean and beautiful by joining our regular clean-up efforts. Volunteers are equipped with trash bags and gloves to pick up litter along popular trail systems, helping to protect wildlife and preserve the natural beauty of our environment.

    Trail Advocacy and Education:

      • Environmental Education: We provide educational workshops and materials to inform the community about the importance of trail stewardship and responsible recreation. Our goal is to inspire people to become advocates for their local trails and the environment.

      • Advocacy for Access: We actively support local and national initiatives aimed at protecting public land and ensuring continued access to outdoor spaces. By working with local organizations, government bodies, Specialized and other stakeholders, we advocate for the preservation of trails and natural spaces.

    Partnering with Local Organizations:

      • Collaborative Efforts: We partner with local conservation groups, government agencies, and other outdoor organizations to support the health and sustainability of our natural areas. Together, we advocate for sustainable trail design, increased access, and environmentally friendly recreation practices.

    Why It Matters:

The trails and natural spaces we enjoy today are not guaranteed for future generations unless we take action to preserve them. Trail building and maintenance not only enhance our outdoor experience but also ensure that trails remain safe, sustainable, and accessible. Furthermore, engaging the community in these efforts fosters a collective sense of responsibility and pride in our local environment, creating a lasting impact on the health of our trails and the communities that use them.

    What We’ve Accomplished:

    • Trail Maintenance Days: Hosted community-driven trail workdays, improving access and sustainability for local mountain biking, hiking, and gravel biking trails.

    • Partnerships with Local Trail Advocates: Worked alongside organizations like Parks & Recreation to protect public lands and advocate for responsible trail use.

    • Ongoing Educational Programs: Hosted educational workshops on sustainable trail practices, trail etiquette, and conservation efforts for local schools, community groups, and outdoor enthusiasts.
